ALGERIA IN PICTURES
The following six images were donated by
D. Mehdi from his collection. The city of Constantine, which these
pictures represent, is a major city located in northeastern Algeria.

1. Pont de l'Ascenseur ("Guentrat Essansour"),
a pedestrian-only bridge in the city of Constantine.
2. General view of Constantine. To the left
is the Popular Old Quarters, "Souika." At the center
is the "Gorges du Rhumel," and at the rear is a view
of the same site shown in #1.
3. Pont de Sidi M'cid (also known as "Guentrat
Essbitar," meaning "bridge of the hospital"), the
most popular bridge in Constantine.
